Cost of Program

$2,800

1. The student must have foreign (non-Israeli) citizenship and have a passport valid for 6 months after the end of the program.

2. The student must have a valid visa to remain in Israel for the duration of the program.

3. Tuition for the Masa 4-week program is $2800. Masa will award $2650 towards this program. Any tuition or fees that are not covered by MASA must be paid directly to Compuskills/Mesilot before the start of the program as per the terms of the student contract agreement.

4. If a student leaves the program at any time prior to the end of the program, the student will be responsible to pay for the entire program.

5. The student will be responsible for her own food and lodging at her own expense.

6. Taxis may only be taken through taxi companies that are registered and recognized in Israel. It is absolutely prohibited to take a taxi that does not have an Israeli license plate.

7. It is prohibited to hitchhike.

8. It is prohibited to drive a host family’s vehicle.

9. It is prohibited to rent a vehicle from a non-Israeli car rental company.

10. The use of a rented car is only allowed with the prior knowledge of Compuskills / Mesilot.

11. The student is responsible to pay for and maintain insurance starting from the moment she leaves her country of origin until the time she gets back. The student must obtain a legally signed confirmation from the insurance company and give this in to Compuskills / Mesilot. Students may get their own insurance or request help from Compuskills / Mesilot to

arrange this. The insurance will cover the following:

  • Cost of evacuation to a hospital
  • Expenses for hospitalization including payments for care by a physician, surgery, intensive care, ambulatory care, tests, x-rays, and drugs during hospitalization
  • Medical expenses not during hospitalization and which a certified physician has determined to be necessary, including payment for a physician’s care, tests, X-rays and drugs according to the prescription of a physician or a recognized medical institution.
  • Dental care in the case of an emergency or accident.
  • Transport of the participant’s body overseas if he dies in Israel.

12. The student will follow the law at all times.

13. The student will follow all safety rules from the Ministry of Education during trips and at all times. Including but not limited to:

  • Being careful to stay adequately hydrated
  • Staying with the group during trips and not wandering off alone
  • Following all safety rules when swimming.

14. The student may not be absent from the program for more than 20% of the program. If the student wishes to leave Israel during the program they will request prior approval from Compuskills/ Mesilot, and provide the school with their itinerary and contact details abroad.

15. Student agrees to receive vacation housing benefit in lieu of general housing benefit during the volunteer program.

16. If the student leaves Israel at any time during the program, she will lose partial or all grant money. If student loses grant money, she will have to pay the amount lost to Compuskills.

17.  If the student loses grant money for any reason, she will lose some or all of her vacation housing benefit.

18. The student will give Compuskills / Mesilot a deposit for the total cost of the program. This can be cash or a valid credit card number which will be used in the event that the students loses her MASA funding (for failing to follow the rules or other). The student herby certifies that in that case they will not stop payment on the credit card.

  1. Getaway is a tzimmer or hotel at the discretion of Compuskills/Mesilot off season. It is not a commitment for a specific weekend or a specific tzimmer or hotel.
  2. Entitlement to free getaway is only for students who participate fully in the 4 week program.

     

 

I agree to the terms of this agreement, and I acknowledge the fact that
disregard for the rules of Compuskills / Mesilot or MASA, anti social behavior
and / or non compliance with the law may be cause for immediate dismissal from
the program with no refunds given.

Your signature on this agreement shall constitute your signature on an arbitration agreement in accordance with the Arbitration Law.
In the event of any disagreement, all matters will be decided at the Beit Din L’inyanei Mamanus of Har Nof (Harav Henoch Friedman). Any matter of disagreement is considered null and void if Compuskills/Mesilot does not receive a written complaint by the end of the course.
I certify that the above information is correct. I agree to the terms of this contract agreement, and I acknowledge the fact that disregard for the rules at Compuskills/Mesilot, anti-social behavior and/or noncompliance with the law may be cause for immediate dismissal from the program, with no refunds given.
By signing this document, I affirm that I plan to join the Compuskills program in its entirety. I acknowledge that I will be an active member of the program in its entirety. If despite this commitment I drop out or otherwise lose grant money, I agree to make up the lost money within seven days of losing the money.
